Fire and Ice

Fire and Ice
by Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

I love Adele--and I almost used Frost's poem in my post--but decided against it.

Nicely done.

Cheers, Jenn

The poem is certainly on a deep subject and I loved the video. Personally, I think the world will end with a huge bang, not a whimper. Probably fire, not ice.

Great post, poem AND video (I love Adele) I don't know how the world will end but I hope when it does Adele is singing to me while I eat those weird circus peanut candies and drink a lot of cocktails

I love Adele and that song is beautiful xx

Great song and poem to cleverly illustrate the challenge. Brilliant.

Interesting poem, one I'd not heard before, and certainly fits your theme :-)

Love love love Adele
what an amazing voice she has.

I read in yesterday's paper that she is due to do the soundtrack for the new James Bond movie
so should be good.

Hope Peter is feeling better and you are all well.

@Jenn - two great minds think alike right? :)
@Belle - I rather not think about the end, rather enjoy the present!
@Lady Haha - I also love her voice!
@Louise - it is, sad but beautiful!
@Kathy - thank you for your kind words!
@Sarah - it does, and it is a nice one!
@Fiona - she is great! She will? That will be a cool song indeed! Yes, thank you, a bit better but still not 100% recovered! But on the good way!

Wonderful! Awesome!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
